The ACRE Jobsite Installation Checklist (PDF) is a field-ready document used to confirm that all installation conditions meet Modern Mill’s requirements before ACRE® siding, trim, or decking is installed. This checklist helps builders verify storage, moisture conditions, framing layout, fastener selection, trim details, and gapping schedules to ensure long-term performance and warranty compliance.
The checklist begins with critical site-readiness questions: whether ACRE is stored horizontally on a flat, fully supported surface, covered from weather, protected from direct sunlight, and completely dry prior to installation. Installers must also confirm framing layout, sheathing type, and whether the rainscreen / CMU configuration follows Modern Mill guidelines.
A full gapping schedule is included for different temperature ranges, from tightly butted boards above 90°F to 1/8″ spacing in cold-weather installs. Sections allow installers to record which ACRE profiles are being used (1×6, 1×8, 1×10, 1×12, WP4, E&CB, or custom milled profiles).
Fastener options are documented, including minimum #8 × 2½” stainless screws or 8d × 2½” ring-shank nails. The checklist clearly states that brads, trim nails, finish nails, and staples are not allowed for ACRE installation.
Trim details include rabbeted trim, shiplap joints, scarf joints, and padded-out assemblies, along with required dimensions for minimum bearing and overlap. Installers also record corner strategy (rabbeted outside trim, standard corner boards, or mitered continuous siding).
The checklist includes fields for coatings, finishing method, adhesives used, outside-corner treatments, and confirmation that local building-code requirements are met. Sign-off sections allow both the installer and Modern Mill representative to verify conditions before installation begins.
