The Anthony Family

The Anthony Family

Chapter 1: A Dream of Decking Done Right.

In 2006, after 30 years in the building materials industry, Steve Anthony - TimberTown Founder & Partner - saw a lot of right ways and wrong ways to supply lumber and building materials. Beyond great products, Steve wanted to work with quality people who treated people with respect. This desire led Steve to take a risk and start TimberTown Austin. Focusing on outdoor living and decking products, TimberTown began to differentiate itself from the competition while building a reputation of honesty and integrity.

Steve feels humbled and very blessed to watch his dream become a reality, and to help his team of amazing associates reach their life goals as well. At the end of the day, Steve wants TimberTown to help clients create relaxing and beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that reflect their tastes, lifestyles, and budgets. He also credits his wonderful family, Melanie, Hannah, Lily and Abby, his associates Bill and Shawn, his partners Luckett and Trey and the vast amount of others who have played a role in the success of TimberTown.

Chapter 2: TimberTown goes Overseas

OHC Stockton

As TimberTown began to build momentum and gain market share in the Austin area, they caught the eye of an Alabama-based hardwood importer: Overseas Hardwoods Company (OHC). Noticing the large volume of tropical hardwoods, like Ipe and Tigerwood, flowing into the Austin market, OHC decided to strike up a dialogue with Steve. In 2012, the family-owned OHC and family-owned TimberTown Austin merged and became TimberTown LLC. Now backed by the largest importer of exotic hardwoods in the United States, over ten million board feet of lumber yearly, TimberTown grew exponentially and positioned itself as one of the top sellers of hardwood decking in Central Texas. TimberTown quickly became the go-to supplier for deck builders, contractors, custom home builders, and architects both locally and regionally.
