Welcome to the Double Heart Ranch - A working ranch producing top quality Texas Longhorn Cattle and award-winning Coastal and Tifton hay. A celebration of five generations of Texas ranchers. When Lee and Gay Gaddis decided it was time to expand on their existing home, they contacted Johnny Arnold of North Star. We at TimberTown were honored to supply the Ipe, Cedar, and Custom Tapered Douglas Fir Beams used throughout this one of a kind addition.

The living area of the Double Heart Ranch consists of five separate buildings joined together by an elevated Ipe deck spanning the length of the home. Million-dollar views of the Texas Hill Country line the entirety of the deck as you move from building to building. Complete with a screened-in porch, dining table for 14 guests, and a lounge area to enjoy evening libations as you take in the spectacular sunset; this is truly a special outdoor living space.

The ranch is not only a place to relax and recharge your engines. But, it is also a place to create. Perhaps the most important aspect of the addition was the creation of a new gallery and studio for Gay. Located at the far end of the complex, the gallery is a modern masterpiece. Complete with beautiful cedar siding, exposed beams and buttresses, and of course - Gay's works of art lining the white walls. The exterior and interior lighting work as one to create a beautiful glow that can be seen from across the property. Thanks to this thoughtful planning (and impressive electrical work) the home is even more impressive at night.

Just across from the gallery is Gay's studio. The circular structure is lined with floor to ceiling windows and beautiful cedar siding. The same exposed beams and steel buttresses continue the modern theme from the gallery. With 360 degree views of the Hill Country, there will be no shortage of inspiration in this studio.
