Some outdoor spaces are built around the house. Others are built around the way you want to experience it.
Designed and built by Tyler Build, this project takes its cues from the pool instead of the house. Every curve was intentionally created to follow the water’s edge, giving the entire outdoor space a natural flow that feels like it was always meant to be there.
The homeowners selected TimberTech Vintage PVC decking in English Walnut and French White Oak. But those flowing curves didn’t happen by chance. TimberTech offers more than the look of real wood. It’s a material that gives builders and designers the freedom to bring ambitious ideas to life.
Using 20-foot Heatcon heat blankets, each TimberTech Vintage PVC board was heated to approximately 250 degrees for about 25 minutes until it became flexible enough to bend. The boards were then carefully formed to match the exact radius of the pool before cooling into place. Heat bending is a specialized technique, but it’s one that opens the door to custom curves, sweeping transitions, and outdoor spaces that simply aren’t possible with traditional deck construction.
A custom fabricated railing keeps the view open while a TimberTech drink rail adds a practical finishing touch.
The finished project is a perfect example of what happens when craftsmanship meets the right material. TimberTech gives builders the confidence to push beyond traditional deck layouts and gives homeowners the freedom to create outdoor spaces where every detail feels intentional.
