TimberTown won “Best Home Improvement Display” at the 2015 Austin Home and Garden Show!
January 16-18, 2015 brought together some of the best local and national companies for home improvement, outdoor living, landscaping, and more at the Austin Home & Garden Show. Held at the Austin Convention Center, the Home Show is a great way to showcase your best products or services to show attendees. This year, TImberTown wanted to build something special; then, give it away.
With the help of Aidan McGarry of AMG Carpentry we built an exceptional 20×20 foot deck using cedar, garapa, and composite decking by TimberTech and Azek. We also featured Fortress railing with a Feeney CableRail system. Although we loved highlighting a Kamado Joe ceramic grill alongside our new siding and soffit products, the biggest and best part of our exhibit was the 10×10 foot cedar pergola with Ozco wood ties.
We know we’re biased, but we think this stained cedar pergola was the reason we won “Best Home Improvement Display.” Plus, the Ozco ornamental wood-ties really set it off! So what do you do with an award-winning pergola?

That’s right, we had a giveaway for our pergola, valued at $1500, at the Home Show. Over 330 people entered the contest, but Lee Hip from Dripping Springs, TX was the lucky winner.
All in all, the 2015 Austin Home & Garden Show was a big success and gave us a chance to let homeowners know about our Find A Craftsman program, which matches homeowners with qualified builders specific to their project and location.
