Tigerwood
Some materials fill a space. Tigerwood defines it.
Each board brings its own mix of warm amber, reddish-brown, and dramatic dark striping. The natural variation creates movement across decks, porches, siding, soffits, and custom architectural details without relying on an applied pattern. Tigerwood brings more than a bold look. This dense tropical hardwood has the strength and durability needed for demanding exterior applications. TimberTown stocks it kiln-dried rather than air-dried to support better stability and help reduce unwanted movement after installation.
Because Tigerwood’s color and contrast are the main event, the finish matters. A clear TimberTown ProCoating protects the surface from external factors and helps the wood develop a slower, more even patina. Clear coatings do not provide UV protection. To maintain more of the original color, we can apply a pigmented ProCoating that adds the UV protection the material needs.
Our Austin, Atlanta, and Nashville locations stock Tigerwood in multiple dimensions and lengths for projects throughout the Southeast.
