Refined White Oak, Made for the Details
Lake Austin | TX
Built by Enve Builders, this modern Lake Austin residence showcases the warmth and precision of custom-milled White Oak throughout the interior.
From soaring ceilings to refined architectural transitions, the White Oak soffits create a continuous visual rhythm that moves naturally from space to space. The material softens the contrast of steel, stone, and glass while bringing warmth and texture into the home’s modern palette.
Each board was custom milled and installed using the Grad Rail System. This allowed for tight alignment, consistent spacing, and a clean concealed fastening approach. It also helped the ceiling design coordinate seamlessly with lighting, pendants, HVAC details, and surrounding architectural elements from the beginning.
For a project this detailed, custom milling played a major role in execution. TimberTown worked closely with the Enve team to tailor the profiles and layout specifically to the design intent of the home. That level of coordination helped maintain crisp lines and visual consistency across long ceiling runs and transition points.
White Oak was a natural fit for the application. Its stability and refined grain structure make it well suited for highly visible interior detailing. The lighter tone keeps the ceilings feeling open and architectural while still delivering the warmth that real wood brings to a space.
The result is a refined interior where the ceiling becomes one of the defining design features. Clean, continuous, and thoughtfully executed, the White Oak soffits bring natural warmth and architectural clarity to the home.
