Through our partner and importer, we have a hardwood buyer who travels to Brazil each year and uses his personal relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we only buy from mills that follow responsible and legal harvesting practices. We also dictate how our suppliers package and ship by inspecting each container before and after arrival.

It Pays To Be Dense

There's no doubt hardwoods outlast lumber products like Cedar or Treated Pine; here's how we prove it.

Using the Janka Hardness Test, we can determine hardwoods like Ipe are up to eight times harder than their decking counterparts like Cedar, Redwood, and Southern Yellow Pine. The extra density also means they are less likely to warp or bow over time.
