Kebony Click-in Cladding System Installation Guide (PDF)

The Kebony Click-in Cladding System (CCS) Installation Guide (PDF) walks installers through every component and step of Kebony’s pre-engineered cladding solution. Designed around Grad™ Mini Rails and precisely grooved Kebony boards, CCS provides a clean, consistent cladding installation with hidden fasteners and repeatable alignment. This guide explains how the system works, which components are required, and how to correctly prepare, fasten, and finish each section of a cladding wall.

The document opens with transportation and storage guidance, noting that rails should remain covered and stored flat to prevent bending. Page 2 outlines approved applications for horizontal, vertical, and diagonal cladding, followed by a full safety checklist (page 3) covering PPE, aluminum-cutting tools, and code compliance. Installers are reminded to review each project with local officials when needed.

Main system components are shown on page 7, including the Mini Rail profiles, matching Kebony 1×6 and 1×8 Clear boards, and accessory parts such as the Spacing Template and Riser Supports. Standard rail orientations for horizontal, vertical, and diagonal layouts are illustrated on pages 9–10.

Fastening options begin on page 13, detailing stainless steel nails, self-tapping screws, and concrete anchors depending on substrate. The guide stresses securing rails to flat, sound surfaces and keeping spans within 24 inches (or 16 inches for diagonal). Pages 12–14 cover the Spacing Template, which ensures consistent clip separation and proper expansion gaps between rails.

Board installation steps begin on page 20, demonstrating how to snap grooved boards into the clips, create proper scarf joints, and transition across the wall with consistent reveals. Ripped boards, top boards, and gabled ends are handled using Riser Supports and the recommended Pro Plug® fastening method (pages 22–24).

Vertical and diagonal installation instructions follow on pages 25–29, including reference lines, grade clearances, angled rafters, and maximum distances between rails and board ends. The final page describes how to remove a board safely using a controlled-depth circular saw cut.
