TimberTown Atlanta Facelift with NewTechWood European Style Cladding

From dated to design-forward

When we first looked at the front of our Atlanta location, it felt tired, real tired

The structure had good bones, but the entry lacked a dynamic presence. The canopy and facade blended into the building instead of standing out. Not a good look for a company centered around premium building materials and design, it failed to reflect who we are or what we offer.

We saw it as an opportunity. Not just to update the look, but to create something that better represents the level of materials and design our customers should expect.

A cladding-driven transformation

The goal was simple: clean up the architecture, add depth, and introduce materials that elevate the entire experience.

We chose NewTechWood European Style siding from the UltraShield® wall cladding line, installing the Belgian board profile throughout the facade.

This profile features a subtle combed texture with clean vertical lines, giving the building a more refined, architectural feel. Installed within the existing arches, the cladding adds warmth, dimension, and rhythm to what was previously a flat surface.

To complement the cladding, we introduced a contrasting black soffit system on the awning. The boards run across the underside and wrap to the front face of the canopy, creating a clean, continuous edge that frames the entry and adds depth to the elevation.

We also incorporated matching trim pieces around the windows, helping to create clean transitions and a more finished, intentional look across the facade. These details tie the system together and reinforce the overall design.

While this project features the Belgian profile, NewTechWood also offers a Norwegian board within the same European Style line. The difference is subtle but intentional. Belgian boards create a cleaner, more uniform appearance, while Norwegian boards bring a bit more movement and variation to the facade.

The system can be installed vertically or horizontally, giving designers flexibility depending on the scale and style of the project.

Efficient installation with long-term performance

This project needed to look good, but it also needed to make sense from an installation and maintenance standpoint.

NewTechWood’s cladding system allowed for a clean, efficient install, making it an ideal solution for a retrofit like this. Working within the existing structure, the material went up quickly and delivered an immediate transformation without requiring major reconstruction.

From a performance standpoint, it checks all the boxes for commercial applications:

  • Low-maintenance alternative to traditional wood cladding
  • Resistant to moisture, rot, and fading
  • Consistent color and finish across boards
  • Suitable for both facade cladding and soffit applications

The result is a modern wood-look exterior that will maintain its appearance over time, without the upkeep typically associated with natural wood.

Designed to reflect what we do

This update was more than a facelift. It was about aligning our space with our purpose.

At TimberTown, we work with builders, architects, and designers to specify materials that perform and elevate the final project. The Atlanta location now reflects that same approach, showing how composite cladding systems can be used thoughtfully across both vertical surfaces and detailed architectural elements.
