Unlike many composite materials that rely on wood fibers blended with plastic, Millboard is made from a wood-free mineral-resin composite. That difference matters. Without wood in the core, the boards won’t absorb moisture like traditional wood-based composites. They resist rot, warping, mold, insects, and the constant cycle of expansion and contraction that exterior materials face over time.

Yet despite containing no wood, Millboard captures the character of natural timber in a way few composite products can. Each board is molded from carefully selected pieces of real oak, preserving the grain, texture, and subtle imperfections that make wood visually compelling.
